A produção audiovisual é realizada por alunos do Curso Profissional na área de Informática e do Clube Multimédia coordenador pelo professor Edgar Borges.
From 16th to 19th April 2026, our school was proudly represented at the European Youth Parliament (EYP) National Session, held in Covilhã. The event brought together students from across the country for four days of debate, teamwork and cultural exchange focused on European and global issues. Our students Clara Pinto and Mafalda Mortágua, accompanied by their teacher Júlia Lopes, actively participated in this enriching experience. Throughout the session, the students worked in international committees, discussed current political and social challenges, developed resolutions, and strengthened essential skills such as public speaking, critical thinking and cooperation. Beyond the academic dimension, the National Session also offered an opportunity for cultural exchange, allowing participants to meet young people from different regions, share perspectives and build lasting connections in a dynamic and inspiring environment. The participation of Clara Pinto and Mafalda Mortágua in the EYP National Session reflects their commitment, curiosity and engagement with European citizenship values. We congratulate the students for representing our school with dedication and enthusiasm in this prestigious educational initiative.
Mafalda Mortágua testimony Taking part in the European Youth Parliament (EYP) was a truly memorable experience for me. It gave me the chance to step out of my comfort zone, meet people from different backgrounds, and discuss important global issues in a collaborative and respectful environment. I developed not only my public speaking and critical thinking skills, but also learned how valuable teamwork and open-mindedness are. Beyond the academic side, the friendships and moments we shared made it even more special. I would strongly encourage other students to participate, as it is an experience that helps you grow both personally and intellectually.
Clara Pinto testimony For four days - 16th to 19th April - I participated in the National Session of EYP in Covilhã, staying three nights in the serenity of Serra da Estrela. During the session,I discussed current problems of the EU in a way to propose solutions that I presented on the last day, having to do speeches and debate the committees' goals. Being amongst almost a hundred other delegates, I had the opportunity to connect with other people from Portugal, as well as from Greece, Armenia, Switzerland, The Netherlands and more by doing activities organised by the EYP team on the first day and throughout the session. With this, I was able to experience new environments and routines and develop useful skills for future projects.
Porque dão valor às tradições, os alunos da EB de Outeiro, prepararam-se para o Dia de Reis com a abordagem à Lenda dos três Reis Magos, construção de coroas e entoação de músicas alusivas ao dia. O dia de Reis foi repleto de animação com a deslocação à escola-sede do Agrupamento para cantarem os Reis aos professores, alunos e assistentes. De vozes afinadinhas e com muita alegria, cantaram e encantaram. No final ainda tiveram uma surpresa docinha por parte da diretora Ilda Ferreira. De seguida, deslocaram-se à AMPO (Associação de Melhoramentos Pró-Outeiro) para se fazerem ouvir pelos idosos que ficaram muito emocionados com a surpresa. No período da tarde, ainda tiveram a visita dos Reis do Jardim de Infância que vieram cantar e ouvir cantar. Foi um dia cheio de partilha de canções e emoções.
Mais uma vez, a Feira do Livro foi uma realidade no Agrupamento de Escolas Ferreira de Castro. Entre os dias 12 e 16 de dezembro, toda a comunidade educativa teve oportunidade de visitar a Sala Polivalente Ivone Ferreira e tomar contacto com uma diversidade de livros, uns a preços low cost, outros a preços apetecíveis. Os professores do Departamento de Línguas congratulam-se com a recetividade com que os alunos e comunidade educativa receberam esta iniciativa. É sempre um gosto ver alunos a folhear um livro, a sentarem -se e lerem um pouco!
Nos dias 19 e 20 de dezembro, os alunos de todas as turmas de 6.ºano tiveram uma aula diferente com um convidado amigo, o Sr. Hugo Oliveira, encarregado de educação de dois alunos do 6.ºA.
A atividade consistiu numa abordagem ao mundo das aves, a construção de ninhos, a cor e forma dos ovos e a explicação de táticas usadas pelas aves para evitar os predadores. Os alunos puderam observar diferentes ovos e ninhos que o Sr. Hugo gentilmente trouxe para partilhar e atentamente acompanharam as várias explicações que foram dadas.
