A produção audiovisual é realizada por alunos do Curso Profissional na área de Informática e do Clube Multimédia coordenador pelo professor Edgar Borges.
From 16th to 19th April 2026, our school was proudly represented at the European Youth Parliament (EYP) National Session, held in Covilhã. The event brought together students from across the country for four days of debate, teamwork and cultural exchange focused on European and global issues. Our students Clara Pinto and Mafalda Mortágua, accompanied by their teacher Júlia Lopes, actively participated in this enriching experience. Throughout the session, the students worked in international committees, discussed current political and social challenges, developed resolutions, and strengthened essential skills such as public speaking, critical thinking and cooperation. Beyond the academic dimension, the National Session also offered an opportunity for cultural exchange, allowing participants to meet young people from different regions, share perspectives and build lasting connections in a dynamic and inspiring environment. The participation of Clara Pinto and Mafalda Mortágua in the EYP National Session reflects their commitment, curiosity and engagement with European citizenship values. We congratulate the students for representing our school with dedication and enthusiasm in this prestigious educational initiative.
Mafalda Mortágua testimony Taking part in the European Youth Parliament (EYP) was a truly memorable experience for me. It gave me the chance to step out of my comfort zone, meet people from different backgrounds, and discuss important global issues in a collaborative and respectful environment. I developed not only my public speaking and critical thinking skills, but also learned how valuable teamwork and open-mindedness are. Beyond the academic side, the friendships and moments we shared made it even more special. I would strongly encourage other students to participate, as it is an experience that helps you grow both personally and intellectually.
Clara Pinto testimony For four days - 16th to 19th April - I participated in the National Session of EYP in Covilhã, staying three nights in the serenity of Serra da Estrela. During the session,I discussed current problems of the EU in a way to propose solutions that I presented on the last day, having to do speeches and debate the committees' goals. Being amongst almost a hundred other delegates, I had the opportunity to connect with other people from Portugal, as well as from Greece, Armenia, Switzerland, The Netherlands and more by doing activities organised by the EYP team on the first day and throughout the session. With this, I was able to experience new environments and routines and develop useful skills for future projects.
A Rádio Impacto, rádio do Agrupamento de Escolas Ferreira de Castro, associa-se à Rede Rádio-Escolas, da Rádio Miúdos, para os Desafios 2024-25. Estes desafios contribuem para o desenvolvimento da expressão oral dos alunos numa área não muito requisitada nos dias de hoje, onde o digital impera, a RÁDIO.
Sob o tema da água, os meninos do Jardim de Infância de Vermoim participaram no desafio com um texto que gravaram, provando assim que, todos juntos, sem importar a idade, uniremos esforços no sentido de controlar e reverter as consequências da ação do homem em relação ao desperdício de água, entre outros malefícios para o planeta, pondo assim em risco a nossa sobrevivência.
No passado dia 23 de outubro, realizou-se o 2.º Encontro "Educar no Presente para Profissões do Futuro" que contou com a participação de Lúis Grifo, em representação das Associações locais, Bernando Silva, jovem empresário, Constantino Martins e Luíz Faria , docentes no Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto.
Entre outros assuntos, os palestrantes enfatizaram as competências mais necessárias para ingressar no mundo de trabalho e para o prosseguimento de estudos, realçando-se a importância das sofskills, aptidões mentais, emocionais e sociais que vão muito para além dos conteúdos.
Capacidade de comunicar, trabalhar em grupo, persistência e vontade de trabalhar e progredir foram algumas das competências referidas perante um público de jovens dos 14 aos 17 anos. Poderá acompanhar aqui este evento.
Os docentes da disciplina de Matemática, grupo 500, dedicaram a tarde do dia 11 de outubro à ação de curta duração "Comunicação Matemática e apresentação oral na avaliação de tarefas", dinamizada pelo formador Pedro Almeida, com o apoio da Porto Editora.
Nesta sessão, os docentes tiveram oportunidade de desenvolver competências que certamente irão favorecer a diversificação de instrumentos de recolha de informação e a monitorização da aprendizagem dos alunos.
